Jose F. Hilario, DPM, PA, is an esteemed podiatrist who serves the community surrounding Converse, Texas. Along with his team, Dr. Hilario offers conservative treatment for numerous foot and ankle problems.
Dr. Hilario grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where he graduated from Southwest High School in 1988. He then obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
After obtaining a Master of Science degree in Neuroscience from the same university, he followed his dream to become a podiatrist in 2002. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, a branch of Finch University in Chicago, Illinois.
Continuing his desire to provide specialized podiatric care, Dr. Hilario underwent rigorous training in his residency at both the North Chicago Department of Veterans Affairs and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
After receiving extensive training in various foot and ankle conditions and surgical procedures, Dr. Hilario went to work treating patients in the Chicago, Illinois, area for several years. Here he gained both experience and compassion in the area of podiatry.
In 2011, he opened his practice to provide the residents of Converse, Texas, a place to seek specialized care. He and his team take the time to get to know their patients, to provide personalized and responsible treatment.
Dr. Hilario is a member of the Christus Santa Rosa Wound Care Center. He’s able to help patients with severe wounds at this facility through both conservative and surgical measures. He truly has a passion for podiatry and strives to treat every patient as he would his own family.
